Awareness Talk on “Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha”

On January 19, 2021, the NSS Department of Hindu Kanya College celebrated Road Safety Week on the orders of the Government of India and the State Transport Commissioner. Under the chairmanship of Principal Dr. Archna Garg, an awareness seminar was organized under the leadership of Traffic Police Jasveer Singh. Addressing the Volunteers in the seminar, SP Traffic Jasveer Singh, Traffic Incharge Sukhwinder Singh, Education Cell Incharge Gurbachan Singh said that in the school and college entry should not be allowed without helmet, driving license, RC, insurance pollution certificate. Further he said that most of the deaths occur due to head injury, so wear a helmet while driving to avoid accidents. Do not use mobile phones while driving and wear a seat belt.

Motive: The purpose of celebrating this week was to make NSS volunteers aware of the rules of road safety.

Outcome: By organizing this seminar, NSS Volunteers came to know that priceless lives can be saved only by following the rules of road safety.
