Rules/Guidelines
for Admission
1.
Any student interested to seek admission
in the college must fill the Admission
Form attached with the college prospectus
legibly in her own handwriting, correct
and complete in all respects.
2. Then she is to contact the members
of the Admission Committee for the
checking of her form and other certificates
or testimonials.
3. Certificates & Documents required
at the time of Admission are :
(a)
An attested passport size photograph
of the candidate and photographs of
the parents.
(b) Original certificate of the last
University/Board examinations passed.
(c) Character certificate issued by
the head of the institution last attended.
(d) University Registration Card,
if allotted.
(e) An attested photocopy of Ration
Card.
(f) Certificate of meritorious performance
(if any) in games and co-curricular
activities from the head of the institution
last attended.
(g) Original Migration Certificate
(only for those students who have
passed their lower examination from
boards other than Punjab School Education
Board, Mohali or from University other
than G.N.D.U., Amritsar.
(h) A student belonging to the Scheduled
Caste / Backward Class / Handicapped
category will be required to submit
a certificate of her being so from
a competent attesting authority.
4. The students are then to attend
the interview with the Principal to
seek permission for admission.
5.
If granted admission, deposit the
fee at the appropriate fee counter
on the same day.
Late admission will be permitted only
if the seats are available and University
rules permit.
In case there is any change in correspondence/residential
address/phone number it should be
intimated immediately in the college
office by the parents themselves.
A
student seeking provisional admission
subject to the production of eligibility
certificate later on will do so at
her own risk and responsibility. The
students are advised to produce the
eligibility certificate as early as
possible (not more than 14 days after
admission) in their own interest,
otherwise their provisional admission
can be cancelled at any time.
No refund of fee or fund will be made
if admission is cancelled or is not
confirmed by board/university in the
due course of time.
For 'Result Late' Cases : Any student
whose result is declared 'later on'
by the Board/University, may seek
admission without late fee within
ten/fifteen days after the declaration
of the result as per university rules.
Foreign students should come along
with the student Visa from the Government
of India.

Change
of Subjects
A student of humanities group may
be permitted to change her subjects
within one month from the commencement
of the session. But the permission
to change should not disturb the timetable
and should be sought on the prescribed
form signed by the teachers whose
subject is to be taken up or given
up. Lectures of such students who
have been allowed to change their
subject/subjects shall be counted
from the date of change.
Regarding
Punjab History and Culture in lieu
of General Punjabi
Candidates relating to any of the
following categories shall be allowed
to select Punjab History and Culture
in place of Punjabi Compulsory subject
at under-graduate level. Such candidates
shall submit an affidavit (Specimen
enclosed) of the value of Rs. 15/-
attested by Local Executive Magistrate.
In case the candidates are non residents
of Punjab State, they shall submit
domicile certificate of the state
concerned from the competent authority.
The Principal of the College/Head
of the Department shall keep the affidavit/domicile
certificate in record and certify
the concerned category at the time
of submitting Registration Returns
to the University.
Note:
This amendment is in effect from the
session 1996-97.

student who wants to withdraw her
name from college rolls must apply
in writing to the Principal. The application
must be countersigned by her father
or guardian. No student will be permitted
to leave the college until she has
cleared all her college dues.
